But Real Madrid pulled parity just before half-time through Federico Valverde who scored an epic solo goal from the edge of the area.

Brazilian star Vinicius Jr put them ahead with a calm finish after a run from Rodrygo, who netted a superb individual goal to make 3-1.

Rudiger then completed the rout in added time after converting Toni Kroos' free kick.

According to OptaJose, the 29-year-old has become only the second German player bag a goal in four of Europe's top five leagues in the 21st century.

Antonio Rudiger Continues Nightmare Run in Training With Horror Tackle on Luka Modric

Sports Brief earlier reported that Antonio Rudiger wasted no time in announcing his presence after joining his new teammates in pre-season following a crunching challenge he left on Eden Hazard.

In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Rudiger clattered Luka Modric as if he was his opponent in the Champions League.

The Croatian maestro was running really fast with the ball – he needed some time to catch his breath after that tackle.
