Real Madrid are hoping to convince Carlo Ancelotti to extend his contract with Los Blancos beyond the summer of 2024 when his contract deal expires.

Carlo Ancelotti recently confirmed that he plans to retire from management after his spell at Real Madrid draws to a close but the club’s chiefs want him to stay longer.

According to One Football, Real Madrid are understood to be happy with the 63-year-old Italian manager and believes he deserves a contract renewal.

Ancelotti proved a number of his skeptics wrong after he led Real Madrid to both a La Liga and Champions League triumph last season.

With the additions of Camavinga, Tchouameni, and Rudiger during the past two seasons, Ancelotti has also started the rebuilding of the current Real Madrid team and the club believes he may be the best choice to continue as manager.

Former England manager, Fabio Capello has hailed Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti as the best Italian manager of all time, Marca reports.

Ancelotti was singled out for special praise by the 76-year-old manager, who put him ahead of himself, Arrigo Sacchi, Giovanni Trapattoni, Marcello Lippi, and Arrigo Sacchi.

Having defeated Celtic on Tuesday, Ancelotti now has 100 away triumphs in the Champions League, two fewer than Arrigo Sacchi, who presently holds the record with 102 victories.
