He got one step closer to his next target when his Madrid side beat Real Betis in a top-of-the-table La Liga clash.

As reported by Get Spanish Football News, the win was Ancelotti’s 133rd of his time in charge of Los Blancos, taking him level with Vicente del Bosque. The duo are the third most successful coaches in the club's history. Only Zinedine Zidane and Miguel Muñoz are ahead of the Ancelotti and del Bosque.

Zinedine Zidane:

Zidane was in charge of Madrid for 263 games and won 174 of those. He only lost 36 games while in charge of Los Blancos, Transfermarkt reported.

Miguel Muñoz:

The most successful manager of Madrid is Miguel Muñoz. Muñoz achieved 357 wins with the La Liga side and won nine La Liga titles, two Spanish Cup trophies, two European Cup titles and one Intercontinental Cup with the team. He was in charge of Los Blancos for 15 years, making him the longest reigning manager in the club’s history as well.

Goals from Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes gave Carlo Ancelotti’s men secure their 4th consecutive victory, with Sergio Canales getting the only goal for Real Betis.

Real Madrid have now bagged 12 points from their opening 4 games to sit top of the La Liga table, while Betis suffered their first loss of the season but still maintain 2nd spot on the table with 9 points.
