- Presnel Kimpembe claims he was "not made aware" about Kylian Mbappe replacing him as the vice-captain at PSG
- Mbappe first took the armband in the French Cup tie against Pays de Cassel
- Kimpembe is currently out of action due to an Achilles tendon injury
Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe has broken his silence after losing the vice-captaincy role to Kylian Mbappe.
Kimpembe took to social media to register his displeasure with the seeming lack of communication by the club after coach Christophe Galtier declared Mbappe as the new deputy captain.
In the absence of regular captain Marquinhos, Kimpembe and Marco Verratti usually sit second and third in the captaincy hierarchy at the club, GOAL reports.
However, Mbappe was given the armband for the first time, and he embraced the extra responsibility by delivering a five-star performance in the French Cup.

Aside from his ruthlessness in front of the goal, the 24-year-old also provided an assist for Neymar, ensuring he had a hand in six of the seven goals scored by PSG.
