Paris Saint-Germain manager, Christophe Galtier could not hide his excitement at seeing France forward Kylian Mbappe rejoin the club.

Mbappe had refused to go on holiday after the World Cup, resuming training with the reigning Ligue 1 champions just three days after losing the World Cup final with Les Bleus.

Galtier could be seen giving the 24-year-old forward a warm embrace on his return, as PSG continue preparations for the resumption of the 2022/23 league season.

The French forward joins Moroccan defender, Achraf Hakimi at the Ligue 1 giants, while Lionel Messi is yet to join up with the rest of the PSG squad, Goal reports.

Despite the agonising World Cup final defeat to La Albiceleste, the French striker returned to training at Camp des Loges within 63 hours of the conclusion of the game.

Mbappe was part of the French team that attended a celebration at Place de la Concorde after their arrival home from Qatar, but the 24-year-old is now focused on his season with PSG.
