Orlando Pirates defender James Thabiso Monyane has evoked memories of Senegal's 2021 Africa Cup of Nations team after waking up with the MTN Top 8 trophy in bed.

The right-back started and played 45 minutes as the Bucs defeated Amazulu 1-0 to win the Top 8 championship on Saturday at the Moses Mabhida stadium.

In a photo posted on social media, the South African defender recreated the scene where players of Senegal woke up with the AFCON trophy on their beds after their success earlier this year.
