Orlando Pirates' attacking midfielder Vincent Pule says the club's supporters can look forward to attacking football next season.

The 30-year-old praised the team's new coach Jose Riveiro, impressed by his tactical approach.

He said to SowetanLIVE:

“The philosophy he wants [is for] us to play attractive football and we are getting to understand him the way he wants us to play he wants us to play attractive football so we can get the fans back to the stadiums and enjoy watching the club.

"You can see at training sessions that he wants us to play attractive football and he wants us to work very hard to understand his philosophy.”

Meanwhile, the club announced defender Innocent Maela was announced as the squad, as per IOL, with Ghanaian international goalkeeper Richard Ofori set to fill in the role of the vice-captain. This was following the departure of stalwart Happy Jele last week.

A club statement read:

"Maela not only personifies these values, but he lives them. Throughout his football journey which spans over a ten-year period, the 29-year-old has been consistent; and never allowing a situation (good or bad) to change his approach."

Fadlu Davids is not convinced by the concept of co-coaching.

As reported by Sports Brief, he recently left Orlando Pirates after serving in this capacity with Mandla Ncikazi, having both taken over following Josef Zinnbauer's sudden departure last August.

The Buccaneers finished in a disappointing sixth place on the DStv Premiership table, also missing out on the CAF Confederations Cup after losing to RS Berkane in the final.
