  • Tanguy Ndombele marked his Napoli debut with a stunner of a goal during a friendly match at the Diego Maradona stadium
  • Ndombele, who was frozen out of Tottenham Hotspur by Antonio Conte, will spend the rest of the season on loan under Luciano Spalleti
  • Napoli currently lead the Serie A table after recording back-to-back huge victories

Tottenham Hotspur reject Tanguy Ndombele scored in a friendly match in his debut game for Napoli against Juve Stabia.

Ndombele, who recently completed a loan move to the Italian side, did not take long to get his name on the scoresheet. He whipped in a rocket of a goal from just outside the penalty area to give Napoli the lead in the second half.

Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti was using the game to freshen his new signings. The Serie A season is already two game weeks in. Napoli won 3-0, with the other goals coming from Giuseppe Ambrosino and Alessio Zerbin.

Ndombele will spend the season in Naples after falling out of favour with Spurs boss Antonio Conte. The Sun reports that the Partenopei have an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

Napoli are sitting pretty at the top of the Serie A table after huge wins in their first two games. They first beat Hellas Verona 5-2 before dispatching newly-promoted side Monza, 4-0.

Antonio Conte had banned Ndombele and other Spurs players from first-team training

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has banned four of his players from his first-team training sessions. Conte is looking to fine-tune his squad before the closure of the transfer period.

The players include Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Sergio Reguillon and Giovani Lo Celso, who will now train away from the squad as the club looks to sell them.

Ndombele has failed to impress during his time in London and was loaned out to his former club Lyon last season. Winks and Reguillon have operated under the shadows of other first-team regulars, but the acquisition of Yves Bissouma and Ivan Perisic sealed their fate.
