This term Ronaldo and his colleagues have begun the campaign on the wrong foot, losing their opening two league fixtures while shipping in six goals.

But addressing the rumours surrounding his future, Ronaldo slammed the media for their wrong reportage while scoring them 5 out of 100 in a post on the photo-sharing app Instagram.

"They'll know the truth when I give an interview in a few weeks," Ronaldo posted in Portuguese as translated by Tribuna.
"The media only tells lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months out of the 100 stories, they only got 5 right. Stay there with this tip."

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a member of Cristiano Ronaldo's family has once again reignited his exit from Manchester United this summer.

Rumours had been rife that Ronaldo had communicated his desire to leave the club. The Portuguese star skipped the preseason tour due to what the club called family issues.

He, however, reunited with the squad making his first appearance from the bench last weekend against Brighton. He then lasted the whole 90 minutes as Brentford tore apart his side.
