Kaizer Chiefs will battle it out with Stellenbosch FC for the DStv Diski Shield.

The Amakhosi accounted for Mamelodi Sundowns 2-0 in the second semifinal of the day at the Giant Stadium in Tshwane.

Mduduzi Shabalala opened the scoring in the 29th minute from the penalty spot after being fouled in the box by Mohlala Makola. Wandile Duba settled the match with a sensational strike in the 74th minute after receiving a defense-splitting pass from Shabalala to beat the overwhelmed Makola and the goalkeeper.

The Amakhosi will be looking to win their second Shield title, having won the inaugural edition back in 2018.

It's not the end of the road for Masandawana, as they will get to take on Chippa United in the bronze medal match. The Chilli Boys were knocked by Stellenbosch FC in the earlier match.

Stellenbosch FC beats Chippa United to qualify for DStv Diski Shield final, chase history

Stellenbosch FC is through to the 2022 DStv Diski Shield final after defeating Chippa United 1-0 in the semifinal match at the Giant Stadium in Soshanguve.

As reported by Sports Brief, Marvin Boji scored the winning goal in the 70th minute from the penalty spot after United's Francis Kayden fouled Stellies' Shawn Isaacs inside the box.

The Maroons will now await the winner of the fixture between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs in the other semifinal.
