Asamoah Gyan has urged the Ghanaian national team to play like wounded lions when they square up against the Super Eagles on Friday, March 25.

The Black Stars are set to host Nigeria for the first leg of the World Cup play-offs double-header at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

According to a report via Complete Sports, Asamoah Gyan charged the Black Stars to make history by qualifying for the World Cup at the expense of Nigeria.

“The nation is fully behind you to make it to the World Cup after all the setbacks is a game-changer achievement for the nation, yourselves & your families. Step on that pitch as wounded lions & go make history once again.
“Go Ghana Black Stars Go for Gold.”

Ghana is hoping to secure a 4th World Cup appearance after failing to qualify for the 2018 edition hosted by Russia.

Ghana Vice President to watch Nigeria clash in Kumasi

Meanwhile, Ghana Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia has confirmed he will be attending the first-leg World Cup play-offs between the Black Stars and Nigeria.

According to Ghana Soccernet, Bawumia is on an official visit to the Ashanti Regional capital and has decided to visit the Baba Yara Stadium to lend his support to the Black Stars.

Ghana will derive confidence coming into Friday's game from their head-to-head record against Nigeria as the Black Stars are yet to lose to the Super Eagles in 16 years.

Spiritualist predicts World Cup play-offs in favour of Super Eagles

Earlier, Sports Brief reported the Super Eagles of Nigeria have been favoured to progress ahead of Ghana when both teams clash in the final round of the World Cup qualifiers.

Ghanaian spiritualist, Seer Gyan disclosed that Nigeria will get a positive result against the Black Stars in the game to be played at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, March 25.

Seer Gyan predicted a 1-1 scoreline and revealed the result for Friday's game will determine who goes through to the World Cup in Qatar.
