Ghanaians have once again showed their undying love for former Black Stars captain and legend, Asamoah Gyan, after reacting to Frank Khalid's list of top African forwards without the ex-Sunderland man.

Frank Khalid is a big Chelsea fan on Twitter with massive following due to his closeness with the club, and also follows African footballers in the English Premier League.

On Saturday morning, he posted a list of 12 African players which includes Nwankwo Kanu, Patrick Mboma and Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng but conspicuously missing was Asamoah Gyan.

Fans of Ghanaian football were left outrage, with many asking where greats such as Abedi Pele and Michael Essien fit in that group.

"Asamoah Gyan? Sulley Muntari?? Even Michael Essien, that guy that played for your oil money club??," replied Almighty JB.
Kaypee GH added: "I don’t think your being fair to Asamoah Gyan and Essien and Abedi Pele. Come again!."
"Asamoah Gyan also not here but them sneak Freddy Kanute put inside Fine fine," wrote Joe Cavani.
"Do you know Asamoah Gyan and Abedi Pele? Aubameyang is no where near this list of players," added Kobby Phacelord.
RJZ, a musician in Ghana quizzed: "Frank! Where is Asamoah Gyan???."
"What’s aubameyang doing here please do you know baby jet asamoah gyan???," added Osikani Danso.

Asamoah Gyan to launch memoir

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan will outdoor his memoir in a star-studded ceremony in Accra on April 30.

The event which will take place at the plush Kempinski Hotel will chronicle the journey of the striker as a professional.

The book will contain a full, revealing, candid and detailed account of Gyan’s football career that took him from Ghana to Italy, France, England, the United Arab Emirates, China and India.
