Sports Brief looks at the world's top five most valuable clubs according to Sportico.

Top five most valuable clubs

1. Manchester United

The Reds Devils are valued at $6.2 billion and are the number one team in the world. Per The Athletic, this figure was arrived at based on revenues broken down into broadcast, commercial, and matchday. United were boosted by the injection of £1.3 billion for the minority stake purchased by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

2. Real Madrid

According to Forbes, Madrid were the most valuable team in the world in 2023. Los Blancos dropped a place to second in the latest ranking and are valued at $ 6.06 billion. The 14-time European champions recently opened the new Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

3. Barcelona

Madrid's eternal rivals Barcelona are the third most valuable soccer team in the world despite their financial struggles since Lionel Messi's departure. Barca are valued at $5.28 billion, and like their rivals, they are rebuilding their stadium, Camp Nou, which will be opened in 2026.

4. Liverpool

United's fiercest rivals, Liverpool, are the fourth most valuable club in the world and the second in English football. The Merseyside club is valued at $5.11bil. The club is braced for a new era with the departure of Jurgen Klopp, who will be replaced by Arne Slot.

5. Bayern Munich

Germany's biggest club completes the top five. Bayern Munich are valued at $4.8 billion. They went on an 11-year Bundesliga title-winning streak before it was snapped by Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen this season. They have won more titles than the other German clubs combined.

6. Manchester City - $4.75 billion

7. Paris Saint-Germain - $4.05 billion

8. Arsenal - $3.9 billion

9. Tottenham - $3.49 billion

10. Chelsea - $3.47 billion

Seven players Manchester United should sell

Sports Brief reported on seven players Manchester United should consider selling this summer amid the mass clear-out planned for Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first transfer window.

If the right offers are received, the club should part ways with some top players to raise funds for transfers and refresh the squad ahead of next season.
