  • Thomas Tuchel is not interested in signing legendary Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, per reports
  • After the Manchester United star made his desire to leave the Red Devils public over the weekend, the Blues are now being linked to him
  • Ronaldo still has one year left on his current Manchester United contract, but the forward is seeking to play in the UEFA Champions League

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is reportedly reluctant to sign Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, 37, is currently staring at an uncertain future with the Red Devils despite having a year left on his Old Trafford deal.

The Portugal captain wants to keep playing in the UEFA Champions League and would consider joining Chelsea this summer.

But the Daily Mail reports that Chelsea boss Tuchel has fears over how the signing can impact his side and believes it can cause the same issue for him as it did for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United last year.

The report claims that Tuchel isn't convinced whether Ronaldo can fit into his style as he is planning on operating a very fluid attacking line next season.

The German gaffer is worried after seeing how Cristiano’s acquisition ruined the balance of United and upset their young attacking players.

While Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is very keen on the move knowing the profits it would bring, he will allow Tuchel to have the final say on any acquisitions.

The German gaffer ideally wants to sign both Raheem Sterling and Raphinha as well as play them alongside Kai Havertz to complete his front-three next season.

How Chelsea Could Line up If Blues Get All Their Summer Targets, Including Cristiano Ronaldo

Sports Brief earlier analysed how Chelsea’s potential starting XI in the upcoming season could look like if they capture all their summer targets suggests Thomas Tuchel’s side could be a force to reckon with.

The London outfit has arguably been the busiest over the last few months in terms of major changes, with a number of exits, including former owner Roman Abramovic.

As far as players are concerned, this summer also saw Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Saul Niguez leave the club.
