Chelsea are reported to be considering offers for second-choice goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga after the Blues failed in their attempt to win the Carabao Cup on Sunday, February 27.

Kepa was the vilian for Chelsea as the Spanish goalkeeper spot-kick flew well over the goalpost to hand Liverpool the trophy.

According to a report via SI, Chelsea has now set a price tag on Kepa Arrizabalaga amid interest from the likes of Newcastle and a number of La Liga clubs.

A price tag of £50 million has been slammed on the goalkeeper by the current Club World Cup champions as they seek to recoup some of the money spent in signing the Spaniard.

Kepa Arrizabalaga joined the Blues in 2018 in a deal worth £72 million but has failed to impress the Chelsea fans and hierarchy, therefore, losing his first-choice position to Edouard Mendy.

Drogba offers support to Chelsea keeper Kepa after horrendous penalty

Meanwhile, Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has thrown his weight behind Kepa Arrizabalaga following the Spanish keeper’s penalty miss against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

In a post on social media, the Ivorian icon retweeted Kepa’s post on Twitter encouraging the 27-year-old to keep it up.

Kepa Arrizabalaga in his post apologized to the Chelsea fans and vowed to keep working hard for Chelsea.

Kepa Makes First Statement After Missed Penalty

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Kepa Arrizabalaga revealed he is disappointed and will keep working hard after Chelsea were beaten in the Carabao Cup final by rivals Liverpool.

The Spanish goalkeeper had the opportunity to bring the Blues level but saw his spot-kick fly well over the goal-post after a marathon shoot-out that saw all outfield players convert from the penalty spot.

Kepa Arrizabalaga thanked Chelsea for their support but revealed he will keep working hard to bounce bank stronger.
