Bayern Munich CEO, Oliver Khan is optimistic the Bundesliga giants will bounce back to winning ways soon following the Bavarians first loss of the season to Augsburg on Saturday, September 17.

The German champions have now failed to win in four consecutive matches in the Bundesliga for the first time in 20 years following last weekend’s defeat.

Khan has now backed embattled manager, Julian Nagelsmann despite the poor results in the league, revealing that the club’s board still has faith in their manager, Reuters reports.

"We are not dealing with any other coaches now. We are totally convinced of Julian.
"Of course, we are all dissatisfied, in a bad mood. We have to get to the bottom of it. And assume that as soon as it starts again against Leverkusen, we will and must fully attack."

Bayern Munich's 1-0 defeat to Augsburg on Saturday was the first time in 87 matches the Bundesliga giants had failed to score in a league game.

Nagelsmann criticises Bayern Munich players after first loss of the season

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann has hit out at his players following the Bundesliga giants’ 1-0 defeat to Augsburg on Saturday, September 17.

Nagelsmann lambasted his players for not being more clinical after they had dominated the encounter against Augsburg before succumbing to their first defeat, 90MIN reports.

Although Bayern had 77% of the ball against Augsburg, they were unable to capitalize on their dominance by scoring with any of their 19 shots, and they also gave up several chances at the other end.

Julian Nagelsmann praises Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bayern Munich manager, Julian Nagelsmann is extremely proud of the progress made by French defender, Dayot Upamecano this season following a troubled first season.

The French defender is finally starting to meet the high expectations at the Allianz Arena following his mega-money move from Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig last summer.

Nagelsmann has taken notice of Upamecano’s progress this season and has attributed his good form to the new competition he has in his position.
