Hugo Broos Announces 23 Man Bafana Bafana Squad to Battle Morocco in Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier in June

• Hugo Broos has trimmed down his 37-man preliminary squad to a final 23-man squad for the game against Morocco
• Morocco will host Bafana Bafana on June 9 in the first game in Group K of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers
• Liberia are also drawn in Group K alongside Bafana Bafana and Morocco but Zimbabwe have since been suspended

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has whittled down his South African national team squad to 23.

The 23-man squad will take on Morocco in June in their first Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The game will take place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat, Morocco, on June 9, SAFA.net reported. Broos originally selected 37 players in his preliminary squad before trimming it to 23.

Stellenbosch FC striker, Ashley du Preez, was part of that 37-man squad but has not made the final team.

South Africa finds themselves in Group K for the qualifiers. The group also includes Liberia. Zimbabwe were the fourth team in the group but have since been suspended by FIFA from competing in international tournaments.
