Bafana coach Broos has now announced his preliminary 37-man squad which will be trimmed to the actual squad at the end of the month, Soccer Laduma reported.

Mamelodi Sundowns duo of Andile Jali and Themba Zwane have been left out of the squad once again but there are some notable additions.

Orlando Pirates’ Thembinkosi Lorch has been called up, as has Stellenbosch FC striker, Ashley du Preez. Du Preez has been turning heads with his performances this season and even scored a brace against Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend.

SABC Sport shared the full list on their Twitter feed.

Keagan Dolly is also included but doubt remains over his fitness as he has recently suffered an injury.

One of the big surprises is the addition of Percy Tau. Tau pulled out of Bafana’s friendly games against Guinea and France recently and threatened never to play for Bafana under Hugo Broos.

Tau has been in incredible form for his club, Al Ahly, and had a hand in all six of their goals against ES Setif in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Keagan Dolly ruled out of action with undisclosed injury, will miss Kaizer Chiefs final game this season

Kaizer Chiefs will go into their last game of the season against Swallows FC without one of their star players. Keagan Dolly won’t be available for the Amakhosi’s final match as they take on relegation-threatened Swallows on Saturday, 21 May.

KickOff reported that Keagan Dolly sustained an undisclosed injury before the past weekend’s league game against Sekhukhune United. Kaizer Chiefs won that game 1-0, Sports Brief earlier reported.

The win also meant that the Amakhosi are still in with a slight chance of securing CAF Champions League qualification, Sport24 reported. The club are in a battle with Royal AM and Cape Town City.
