Bukayo Saka says Arsenal showed fight and character in their impressive win against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, April 20.

The Gunners had lost hope of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League following 3 consecutive games prior to meeting the Blues.

Goals from Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith-Rowe, and Bukayo Saka ensured Arsenal left Stamford Bridge with all 3 points at stake as the Gunners resurrected their Champions League ambitions.

According to Sky Sports, Saka has now disclosed how important the win against Chelsea means for the entire Arsenal team.

"We wanted to give the fans something to believe in us and we did that. We showed fight and character. It’s a huge result.
"It means a lot to us. Losing three games in a row is really difficult."

Despite the impressive win against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge, Arsenal remain 5th on the standings but are now tied on 57 points with 4th placed Tottenham.

Arsenal creates history in victory over Chelsea

Arsenal have entered the history books again after the Gunners stunned Chelsea at their backyard following an impressive 4-2 victory at the Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners are now the first team in the history of the Premier League to have two players under the age of 21 to score over 10 goals in the English topflight.

Bukayo Saka scored his 10th league goal against Chelsea and joins Emile Smith-Rowe also on 10 goals as the two youngest players to score at least double figures in same season for Arsenal in the Premier League.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Arsenal on Wednesday night, 20 April, kept their hope of qualifying for the Champions League alive after beating Chelsea 4-2 in tough Premier League battle at Stamford Bridge.

Going into this Premier League encounter, Arsenal players knew that a win would be of great help in their top four chase, and they did themselves lots of good.

Chelsea won the first fixture 2-0 at the Emirates stadium with Romelu Lukaku and Reece James netting the two goals, but they were unable to win this time around in front of their fans.
