3. 2013/14 Quarter-finals

The teams met for two legs of the 2013/14 Quarter-Finals at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid, Spain. Madrid's players recorded a 58% possession with a 91% passing accuracy, a rating reflected in the team's scores.

4. 2012/13 Semi-finals and Group stage

On October 24, 2012, the teams clashed at BVB Stadion Dortmund Group D of the tournament. In their first meeting, Lewandowski and Schmelzer scored two goals, putting Dortmund ahead by one point.
