Saudi Pro League

Ronaldo's goals have mainly come in the Saudi Pro League. He has found the back of the net 29 times in the Saudi top flight this season, leading all scorers.

He opened his account this season in style, recording a hat-trick in Al-Nassr's league match against Al-Fateh on August 25, 2023.

He added two more hat-tricks this campaign, nabbing back-to-back trebles against Al-Tai (March 30, 2024) and Abha (April 2, 2024), per TransferMarkt.

He also scored several doubles, nabbing braces against Al-Shabab, Al-Ahli, Al-Okhdood, and Al-Ittihad.

Ronaldo can also facilitate for his teammates, as evidenced by his 10 assists this season.

He is favoured to win the Golden Boot award, with Ronaldo holding a seven-goal lead over second-ranked Aleksandar Mitrovic in the scoring charts with five league matches left.

AFC Champions League

Ronaldo's AFC Champions League stint ended in disappointment, with Al-Nassr losing to Al Ain in a penalty shootout in the quarter-finals.

The Portuguese star still scored six goals in the competition, three of which he bagged in the knockout stage.

He scored twice against Al-Fayha in the Round of 16 and netted once against Al Ain in the second leg of their quarter-final.

King's Cup

Ronaldo moved ever closer to reaching the 40-goal mark this season after scoring a double in the King's Cup semi-finals against Al Khaleej.

He opened the scoring in the 17th minute after some careless play from Al Khaleej. They tried to play out from the back, but that plan backfired as Al-Nassr won the ball thanks to a high press.

Ronaldo took full advantage of that mistake, winning the ball in the final third before hooking a fantastic left-footed shot from outside the box into the empty net, per Sporting News.

He doubled his tally in the 57th minute, scoring an easy tap-in after he was left unmarked at the far post. It was Ronaldo's third goal in the competition.

Ronaldo praised for unselfish act in King's Cup

Sports Brief recently reported on Ronaldo's unselfish act in the King's Cup semis.

He allowed his teammate, Sadio Mane, to take a penalty in the first half.

Mane rewarded Ronaldo's faith in him, scoring the spot kick in the 36th minute.
