While he didn't find the back of the net himself, Sancho played a pivotal role in securing a first-leg advantage for Edin Terzic's side against the newly crowned French champions.

How did Sancho perform against PSG?

According to GOAL, Sancho's creative brilliance stole the spotlight from PSG's Kylian Mbappe, who struggled to make an impact on the game against Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.

Throughout the match, the winger outclassed Nuno Mendes, creating three scoring opportunities and a few near-assists, had his teammates been more clinical in front of goal.

In a remarkable first half, Sancho completed seven successful dribbles - more than his entire game average during his time at Man United - captivating the audience with his every touch of the ball.

While his second-half performance was slightly less electric, the 24-year-old still managed to complete a total of 11 successful dribbles against PSG en route to a first-leg victory, per Squawka.

This achievement has also seen Sancho become the first player in the last eight seasons to achieve such a feat in a Champions League semi-final.

Vinicius applauds Sancho

The Dortmund star's exceptional display garnered widespread acclaim in the football world, with Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior among his admirers.

Following his own impressive performance in Real Madrid's 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich, Vinicius took to Instagram to praise Sancho's attacking prowess, simply stating, 'What a player'.

Sancho to return to Manchester United?

Sports Brief also reported that Man United's appointment of Jason Wilcox as a technical director would bring optimism about Sancho's future.

The 24-year-old might find a career boost under the guidance of the new appointee, who worked together with the winger while at Manchester City.

Wilcox's admiration for Sancho is widely acknowledged, suggesting a potential avenue for rejuvenation for the English winger's return to Old Trafford.
