Abdul Fatawu Issahaku made another goal contribution as Leicester City were crowned champions of the 2023/24 English Championship.

Having confirmed their Premier League return following Leeds United's defeat to Queens Park Rangers last Friday, the Foxes needed a win to consolidate their place at the top of the table.

The former English champions wrapped up the title in style after beating Preston North End 3-0 at the Deepdale Stadium on Monday night.

A brace from Jamie Vardy and a late header from Kasey McAteer sparked jubilation from the Leicester fans at Preston, as reported by The Guardian.

Issahaku served the assist for McAteer's goal after sending in a well-measured cross with the English winger heading home for the visitors.

The Ghana international has been in devastating form since joining Leicester last summer, making 20 goal contributions in the Championship, per Transfermarkt.

He joined the Foxes on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon with Leicester having the option of making the deal a permanent one at the end of the campaign.

Isshaku moved to Europe at just 17 following a remarkable Africa U20 Cup of Nations in 2021, where he was named Player of the Tournament.

Having played a pivotal role in Saturday's victory at West Bromwich Albion, Isshaku opened the scoring at the King Power Stadium, finishing off a brilliant assist from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
