Ghanaian forward, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, produced a man-of-the-match performance for Leicester City with his first career hat-trick against Southampton.

The 20-year-old forward also delivered an assist in the 5-0 victory over the Saints on Tuesday night (April 23), leading the Foxes closer to Premier League promotion.

Having played a pivotal role in Saturday's victory at West Bromwich Albion, Isshaku opened the scoring at the King Power Stadium, finishing off a brilliant assist from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, doubled Leicester's lead on the hour mark before Issahaku added his second of the game with a sensational curler.

He then turned provider after his cross was met in the box by veteran forward, Jamie Vardy, making it 4-0 for the hosts.

The victory sends the Foxes four points clear at the top of the table and they could make a quick return to the Premier League with a few more positive results.

The Ghana international, who is on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has netted six goals and provided 12 assists since joining Leicester last summer, per Transfermarkt.

Meanwhile, his compatriot, Kamaldeen Sulemana, was an unused substitute for Southampton despite recovering from an injury that kept him out of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
