Manchester United take on lower-tier Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium this evening.

In response to key player injuries, Erik ten Hag has been compelled to incorporate several young players into the senior squad.

Defender Louis Jackson has been promoted to the senior squad. The 18-year-old started in the FA Youth Cup final win over Nottingham Forest two years ago and has travelled with the team amid more possible injury issues.

As Manchester Evening News reported, Sofyan Amrabat, Mason Mount, and Willy Kamwala were not spotted when the team boarded their train to London at Stockport Station.

Louis Jackson

Jackson has become a familiar name at United's youth level, with his standout performance in the FA Youth Cup final victory two years ago. The 18-year-old has recently inked his first professional contract with the club. Notably, he secured a win for the U18s in the derby against Man City earlier this year.

Habeeb Ogunneye

Ogunneye, a right-back, has transitioned from the U18s to the U21s this season. Born on November 12, 2005, the 18-year-old has been making waves, featuring in the UEFA Youth League group stage and playing 90 minutes in the EFL Trophy against Stockport County.

Ethan Wheatley

Wheatley has been a standout player for United's U18s this season, significantly contributing to their surge towards the title. With 18 goals and five assists across all competitions, the 18-year-old has established himself as a traditional No.9, scoring a hat-trick in United’s emphatic 9-1 victory over Liverpool.

Omari Forson

As reported by Goal, Forson was born in Hammersmith, London, to Ghanaian parents. After joining the club's youth system in 2019, the 19-year-old was included in the senior squad for United's pre-season tour in 2023. He debuted on February 2, in the Red Devils' dramatic 4-3 win over Wolves.

Harry Amass

Academy full-back Amass, 17, joined Manc United from Watford in the summer of 2023. A standout player in the under-18s, he recently played his first match for the U21s and has been training more frequently with the first team, filling in for the injured Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Kobbie Mainoo

Mainoo, a Cheadle & Gatley junior football club graduate, has excelled since joining Travis Binnion’s Under-18s squad in 2021. The 19-year-old showcased excellent vision and technical ability in the middle of the park, and gained experience in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy. He was named on the senior bench for the first time against Newcastle in October last year, and made his senior bow in the Carabao Cup quarter-final with Charlton Athletic in January 2023.

Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho, 19, is a lively front-runner on the left-hand side of the attack. Since his debut in the mini-derby in October 2020, he has enjoyed prolific goalscoring form, notably in the 2021/22 season. He has represented Spain at youth levels and received a call-up to Argentina's preliminary squad for their FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Jadon Sancho handed Man United lifeline

Sports Brief reported that Man United’s appointment of Jason Wilcox could be good for Jadon Sancho.

The club released a statement confirming Wilcox’s appointment, with Southampton receiving compensation.

The 53-year-old former Blackburn United player has previously been technical director at the Saints and academy director at Manchester City.
