Cristiano Ronaldo received his marching orders during Al-Nassr's Saudi Super Cup semi-final tie against Al-Hilal on Monday, April 8.

The Portuguese phenom was shown a red card for an off-the-ball incident, effectively ending his hopes of securing a trophy for the Knights of Najd.

Ronaldo, who had been on a remarkable scoring streak with eight goals in his last four games, had been aiming to extend his success against Hilal.

However, his aspirations were dashed as goals from Salem Al Dawsari and Malcom saw the Blue Waves race to a 2-0 lead with 18 minutes left on the clock.

The heartbreaking defeat leaves Al-Nassr with their only remaining chance of winning a trophy for the 2023–24 season resting on the Saudi Kings Cup, following disappointments in the Saudi Pro League, the AFC Champions League, and now the Super Cup.

Despite a late consolation goal from Sadio Mane in stoppage time, Al-Nassr couldn't overturn the deficit, ultimately bowing out of the Super Cup.

Adding to the setback, Cristiano, who leads the Saudi League's top scorers with 29 goals from 25 games, per Transfermarkt, was dismissed in the 86th minute.

Prior to his sending off, he had already received a yellow card at halftime for dissent following Otavio's disallowed goal.

He then saw his time on the pitch prematurely come to an end when he received his marching orders for an altercation with an Al-Hilal player, which left the referee with no option but to send him off, as cited by Givemesport.

After the red-card incident, a furious Ronaldo appeared ready to punch the referee, only to change his mind, underscoring his frustrations.

Ronaldo fanboy iShowSpeed RKOed by Randy Orton

During Wrestlemania 40, Darren Watkins Jr, popularly known as iShowSpeed, made a memorable appearance as part of his sports tour, as reported by Sports Brief.

In a standout moment with WWE legend Randy Orton, Watkins faced Orton's wrath as he received a kick, followed by Orton's trademark move, the RKO, slamming him onto the announce table.

Despite the intense encounter, Watkins defiantly shouted, "Cristiano Ronaldo is better than you," at Orton before falling victim to the WWE star's finishing manoeuvre, leaving him incapacitated.
