  • Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr will take on Abha Club, managed by Pitso Mosimane, on Tuesday night
  • The Portuguese striker is leading the Saudi Pro League goal-scoring chart this season with 26 goals
  • Abha Club are battling relegation and face a huge task to prevent the Knights of Najd from winning

Days after winning the Saudi Player of the Month Award for March, Cristiano Ronaldo is set for a clash with Pitso Mosimane's Abha Club.

The in-form Portuguese striker has netted four goals in his last three games, likely sounding the warning for a team facing league relegation.

Ronaldo also scored a hat-trick in the Knights of Najd's recent 5-1 win over Al-Tai, and Abha Club defenders will need to be at their very best.

So far this season, the 39-year-old has registered 26 goals in 23 matches and it has been a herculean task for defenders to stop him from finding the back of the net.

However, despite his form, Al-Nassr have continued to struggle in the league as they sit 12 points behind log leaders, Al-Hilal, who have won 23 of their 25 games so far.

On the other hand, Abha Club are battling top flight relegation and their situation became worse following a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers, Al-Riyadh, in a recent game.

One positive for the struggling team is that they are unbeaten in their last three home games, winning two and drawing one under Mosimane.

The South African will need on a strategy to keep stars like Sadio Mane, Otavio, Marcelo Brozovic, Alex Telles, and Anderson Talisca from finding the back of the net, iDiski Times reports.

Ronaldo nets 64th hat-trick

Sports Brief earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo scored yet another hat-trick in Al-Nassr's commanding 5-1 victory over Al-Tai in the Saudi Pro League.

Despite facing criticism for his recent outing with the Portugal national team, he bounced back by delivering a remarkable second-half treble.

Ronaldo's hat-trick against Al Tai further cemented his reputation as one of the most prolific goal-scorers in football history, with an impressive tally.
