Cristiano Ronaldo completed back-to-back hat-tricks in the Saudi Pro League in style as Al-Nassr routed Pitso Mosimane's Abha before the break.

Fresh from inspiring Al-Nassr to a thumping 5-1 win against Al-Tai with a treble, Ronaldo needed only 45 minutes to do the damage against relegation candidates, Abha.

The 39-year-old opened the floodgates in the 11th minute when his low drive from a set-piece squirmed past Romanian shot-stopper, Ciprian Tatarusanu, as noted by Sportskeeda.

Not content with one, Ronaldo outdid himself with an exquisite free-kick, curling the ball over the defensive wall and into the net, leaving the goalkeeper helpless for his second goal.

Before halftime, the veteran forward completed his hat-trick with a sublime lob, showcasing his audacious skill and sealing a flawless first half.

In addition to his three goals, the former Real Madrid goal machine also provided two assists, highlighting his versatility and contribution to the team's success, according to GOAL.

With confidence soaring, he orchestrated Al-Nassr's dominance, setting up his teammates Sadio Mane and Abdulmajeed Al Sulaiheem for goals to secure a resounding victory.

Coach Luis Castro granted Cristiano an early break, substituting the veteran forward at halftime as the Knights of Najd cruised to an easy 8-0 victory.

Ronaldo closes in on Messi's free-kick tally

Meanwhile, the Al-Nassr captain showcased his free-kick mastery in the Saudi League, inching closer to his eternal rival, Lionel Messi, Sports Brief reported.

In the process of notching his impressive first-half hat-trick against Abha, Ronaldo notched two free-kick goals on Tuesday, bringing his career total to 63.

The 39-year-old legend closed the gap on Messi's record of 64 free-kick goals with his double before the half-hour mark.

Ronaldo crowned March's best player in Saudi

Prior to the game, Sports Brief earlier reported that Cristiano Ronaldo's outstanding displays in March, led to him being named the Saudi Pro League Player of the Month.

This accolade marks his fourth of the season and fifth since joining Al Nassr. Ronaldo scored five goals in three matches during the month, including a hat-trick against Al-Tai.
