  • Piers Morgan has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo after his hat-trick
  • The die-hard Ronaldo fan was in awe of the Portuguese phenom's latest feat
  • Morgan is credited for leading CR7 to Saudi Arabia after his explosive interview

Renowned British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, couldn't contain his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo after the football legend's latest triumph on the field.

Once again, Ronaldo stole the spotlight, delivering an extraordinary first-half hat-trick that propelled Al-Nassr to their most dominant victory of the season, demolishing Abha Club 8-0 on Tuesday.

The 39-year-old displayed no signs of slowing down, building on his impressive weekend performance with another stellar showing.

His first goal of the evening, a remarkable free-kick, set the tone for his exceptional performance, according to Sporting News.

He swiftly followed it up with an even better version of the first strike from a similar set-piece situation before sealing his hat-trick with an audacious chip.

Manager Luis Castro wisely gave the seasoned forward a well-deserved break, but that didn't deter the Knights of Najd from adding four more goals to their tally, making the scoreline 8-0 at full-time.

With his total goals in the Saudi top division now standing at 29, a notable seven more than his closest competitor, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ronaldo is firmly positioned as the frontrunner for the season's top scorer prize.

After Ronaldo's ruthless display in the rout, Morgan, a dyed-in-the-wool CR7 fan, took to the X App (formerly Twitter) to lavish praise on the Portuguese phenom.

"The GOAT, Cristiano Ronaldo, doing yet more GOAT things tonight. Two brilliant free-kick goals, this one vintage Ronaldo," he wrote.

What's next for Ronaldo?

The ex-Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus maestro will hit the road for the second game running as Al-Nassr takes on Damac on Friday, April 5.

With eight games remaining, Ronaldo will aim to surpass the Saudi League's record goal tally in a single season set by Moroccan forward, Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018-19 season, according to FIFA.

Ronaldo secures Saudi POTM Award

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Cristiano Ronaldo's exceptional performances in March, securing him the Saudi Pro League Player of the Month award.

This accolade signifies his fourth of the season and fifth since joining Al Nassr. Throughout the month, the 39-year-old scored five goals across three matches, notably a hat-trick against Al-Tai.
