  • Fabrizio Ravanelli does not think Napoli will replace Victor Osimhen easily
  • The Nigerian is one of the most sought-after stars in Europe's top leagues
  • Various clubs, including PSG, Arsenal, and Chelsea, have shown interest

Former Juventus forward, Fabrizio Ravanelli, has expressed worry over Napoli's ability to find a suitable replacement for Victor Osimhen, should the Nigerian forward decide to part ways with the club this summer.

Osimhen, a key figure over the past four years, has consistently showcased his stellar capabilities, achieving impressive goal tallies each season and setting numerous records.

Despite extending his contract with the reigning Serie A champions recently, speculation has suggested the 25-year-old may be eyeing a departure from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Ravanelli highlighted the potential challenges Napoli might encounter in securing a worthy successor for the Nigerian - should he ultimately depart.

"Osimhen is among the best strikers in the world. He has incredible ferocity and is not afraid of anything. It will not be easy for Napoli to replace him," Ravanelli told Napoli Magazine, as quoted by Daily Post Nigeria.

Various clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, and Chelsea, have shown interest in acquiring the Super Eagles talisman, rumoured to have a release clause ranging from €120-130 million.

According to Four Four Two, the Gunners appear to be at the forefront of negotiations for a substantial deal to bring him to the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta's side has faced challenges in their attacking lineup, with injuries to key players, including Gabriel Jesus, and a lack of consistent backup options.

The club, leading the Premier League in goals this season, has reportedly compiled a 10-man shortlist of top attackers across Europe’s major leagues as they prepare to sign a marquee centre-forward in the summer transfer window.

Napoli may reduce Osimhen's price

Sports Brief also previously reported that Napoli are considering reducing Osimhen's price tag.

The Partenopei are reportedly requesting for nothing less than €130mil for their most prized asset.

Man United are reportedly preparing a €110mil bid for Osimhen, with Arsenal and Chelsea offering less.
