  • The pundits were thunderstruck by the state of Keane's handset

Manchester United legend Roy Keane recently caused a stir after he flashed out his old-looking phone while on punditry duties.

Keane is one of the most accomplished retired players, thanks to his success in the game during his footballing years.

Apart from United, the Irishman also played for Nottingham Forest and Celtic during his career.

However, it was at Old Trafford where he made a name for himself as one of the best defenders in the world.

Playing for the Red Devils for close to a decade also meant that Keane made a fortune out of his talent as a player.

Be that as it may, the former United skipper is clearly a technophobe, if the state of his phone is anything to go by.

Gary Neville jokes he will get Keane new phone

Keane recently sparked a stir after he was spotted with a tired-looking phone.

The 52-year-old was appearing on the latest episode of Sky Bet's Stick to Football when he got his mobile out to have a look on Instagram shortly before the show began.

His fellow pundit Jill Scott nicked it and showed it to the other pundits, who included, Nevill, Ian Wright, and Les Ferdinand.

Scott laughed off:

"Look at this phone, richest guy in the world. Can we start with this? Roy, richest guy in the world."

Neville went on to joke that he would get his former teammate a new handset, saying:

"Have a look at Roy's phone. Can we get him a new phone?"

Mykhailo Mudryk gifts fan new phone

Earlier, Sports Brief also reported on Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk warming hearts after he gifted one of his loyal fans a brand-new phone.

The winger had joked during the last international break that he would have to buy the fan a phone to help him store more of his photos from his appearances for Chelsea.
