The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner disclosed his other favourite sports apart from the one that has brought him immense success and joy over the years.

Messi admitted to taking an interest in American football as he seeks to understand the game better. He also revealed his fondness for some racquetball games.

"Tennis, padel, basketball, and also American football. I am learning a lot about American football and have come to understand it more and enjoy it," as quoted by All About Argentina.

Messi has a good relationship with leading sports figures in other disciplines. He has in the past shared beautiful messages on social media with leading tennis players Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.

When the former retired, Messi took to Instagram to pen a lovely retirement message, while Nadal has previously backed Messi for the Laureus Awards despite also being nominated for the same awards.

LeBron James of the NBA and Serena Williams were among the leading sports personalities in attendance at the DRV PNK stadium when Messi made his Inter Miami debut.
