Balotelli re-joined Turkish side Adana Demirspor after his contract with Swiss side Sion was terminated, and he seems to have found some of his spark again.

In nine games for the club, Balotelli has scored five goals, including a brace against Alanyaspor in his second debut, per Transfermarkt.

His antics away from the football pitch are still ongoing, however, as footage recently hit social media showing the Italian playing a prank on his teammates.

Balotelli lights fire cracker in dressing room

In the video, a cheeky Balotelli is seen with a small fire cracker, which he lights up and hurls in the middle of the dressing room, resulting in a loud bang.

The explosive certainly gave one of Balotelli’s teammates the fright of his life, and the former Man City star is heard giggling after a successful prank.

Balotelli’s past incidents with fireworks

Fans with long memories will recall this isn’t the first time Balotelli is making headlines for his love for pyrotechnics.

In 2011, at the height of his career, he set his house on fire after letting off fireworks in his bathroom. Luckily, he escaped the ordeal unhurt.

His former Manchester City teammate Micah Richards also once narrated how the striker set off fireworks in Richards’s house.

"He [Balotelli] actually came to my house a couple of weeks before the fireworks incident and he set some off again in my house. I was like: 'You know you can't do this? What's going through your mind?' Richards said in 2019, per The Guardian.

Balotelli wants Italy return

Sports Brief also reported on Mario Balotelli’s ambitions of making the Italy national team aged 33.

Balotelli has been absent from the Azzuri squad since 2018, with his last appearance coming in a 1-1 draw against Poland in 2018.

He has 36 caps and 18 goals for the Italy national team.
