Liverpool target historic quadruple

Carabao Cup (Final)

The road to an unprecedented quadruple begins this coming Sunday at Wembley Stadium when Liverpool face Chelsea in the final of the 2024 Carabao Cup.

The Reds reached the championship game after beating Leicester City, Bournemouth, West Ham, and Fulham in the earlier rounds.

Liverpool have injury concerns, however, heading into Sunday's final.

Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez didn't play in the game against Luton Town last Wednesday after picking up knocks in the match vs. Brentford.

Premier League (1st place)

The Reds are perfectly positioned to make a title run in the Premier League this season. They extended their lead at the top of the table to four points following their come-from-behind victory over Luton Town on Wednesday.

The title race is far from over, though, with Manchester City and Arsenal each having a game in hand. Liverpool have 12 matches remaining in the 2023-24 Premier League season.

The Reds will face the defending champions at Anfield on March 10. They will then travel to Old Trafford on April 6 to face Manchester United.

FA Cup (5th round)

Liverpool are off to a solid start in their bid to win the FA Cup this year. They defeated Arsenal (2-0) and Norwich City (5-2) last month to book a place in the Round of 16.

The Reds will next face Southampton in the fifth round this coming Wednesday at Anfield.

Europa League (Round of 16)

The Reds would want nothing more than to win another European trophy with Klopp before he leaves.

They booked a place in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League after finishing top of Group E. Liverpool won four of six matches to finish one point ahead of Toulouse.

They will next face Sparta Praha in the Europa League last 16. The Czech side secured a spot in the knockout round following their 6-4 aggregate win over Galatasaray in the knockout round play-offs.

The first leg will take place in the Czech Republic on March 7. Liverpool will then host the second leg on March 14.

Chelsea vs. Liverpool preview

Sports Brief recently previewed the 2024 Carabao Cup final between Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Reds head into the final boasting a rich vein of form, winning five of their last six matches.

One of those victories came against Chelsea in the Premier League.
