  • Their 6-0 win over the Hammers on Sunday is one of their biggest ever

Arsenal continued their fine run of form in the Premier League after demolishing rivals West Ham United 6-0 at the London Stadium.

Declan Rice was the man of the moment during the Sunday cracker, as the midfielder returned to haunt his former side.

The England international bagged two assists and scored one of the six goals as the Gunners ran riot away from home.

Mikel Arteta's men went 4-0 up in the first half before they scored two more after the break to storm to a comfortable win.

William Saliba opened the scoring for the visitors in the 32nd minute before Bukayo Saka made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 41st minute.

Two quick-fire goals from Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard put the game beyond the hosts, with Saka completing his brace in the 63rd minute.

Rice capped Arsenal's victory with a wonder strike two minutes later.

According to OptaJoe, the 6-0 scoreline is one of Arsenal's biggest victories ever.

Sports Brief takes a look at the Gunners' four other biggest wins in history.

Arsenal vs Everton (7-0) - May 2005

This was Arsenal's biggest-ever win in history.

Incidentally, David Moyes was the man in charge of Everton when Arsenal hammered them 7-0 at the Emirates back in 2005.

Dennis Bergkamp was the man of the moment during the clash, with the Dutch legend scoring once and registering three assists.

Arsenal vs Middlesbrough (7-0) - January 2006

Months after their memorable win over Everton, the Gunners were at it once again, but this time against Middlesbrough.

According to Planet Football, Thierry Henry was on fire during the clash as he scored a hat-trick.

Arsenal vs Blackburn (7-1) - February 2012

Still under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger, Arsenal recorded one of their biggest wins in history against Blackburn Rovers in 2012.

Robin van Persie and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were both impressive, with the former scoring a hat-trick.

Ironically, this was the same season when Wenger's men suffered an 8-2 humiliating defeat against Manchester United.

Arsenal vs Blackpool (6-0) - August 2010

In 2010, Arsenal came guns blazing against newly promoted Blackpool to register a 6-0 win at home.

At the time, Theo Walcott scored a hat-trick, with Andrey Arshavin, Abou Diabh and Marouane Chamakh also getting their names on the scoresheet.

Arsenal backed to win the EPL

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Manchester United legend, Dimitar Berbatov, backing Arsenal to win this season's Premier League title.

Despite the apparent stiff competition, Berbatov contends Arsenal are the favourites to lift the Premier League trophy this season.

However, the Bulgarian also had a warning for Arteta's men, noting that Man City cannot just be 'wished away' in the title race.
