Barcelona lists next season’s targets

Meanwhile, Barcelona's coach, Xavi Hernandez, is seeking a defensive midfielder and two full-backs in the summer transfer window of 2024 to bolster his current team, SB Nation reports.

Barcelona has limited funds, they are hunting for quality players who are available for free or at a low cost as the Catalan club's financial situation worsens.

Barcelona previously wanted Joshua Kimmich, but the German midfielder was too expensive; they still want him, and they hope he will join them when his contract with Bayern Munich expires in 2025. Xavi also likes Jorginho, Thiago Alcantara, and Guido Rodrguez.

Barcelona welcomes players back for El Clasico

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that in recent times, Barcelona have managed to divert the public attention away from their off-field challenges through their outstanding performances on the field.

However, Xavi Hernandez’s team has faced difficulties in maintaining this trend since the beginning of the new season, primarily due to a series of injuries that have plagued the club.

In their last two matches, La Blaugrana had to deal with the premature substitutions of key players, Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde, both succumbing to injuries in the first half.
