Whereas he is often pictured watching the NBA and Superbowl events, the 53-year-old is also understood to be an ardent football fan.

Jay-Z revealed his EPL club

According to Sportbible, Jay-Z's supposed loyalty to Arsenal was cast into doubt after he was a guest for Manchester City, shortly after they had hammered the Gunners 4-2 back in 2009.

However, the 23-time Grammy winner came out to reaffirm his love for the north Londoners.

“After that game the press started reporting that I was a Manchester City fan, I am really glad all that has been cleared up and that everybody in the UK knows that I am an Arsenal fan," Jay-Z explained, per NME.

The father of three went on to disclose that Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry was the reason he started supporting the Mikel Arteta-tutored side.

That said, it goes without saying that Jay-Z was among millions of Arsenal supporters who ended the 2022/23 season heartbroken.

The Gunners came close to winning the Premier League title for the first time since 2004, only for City to beat them to the crown in the latter stages of the campaign.

Arteta takes blame after EPL

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta appearing to blame himself after the Gunners seemingly surrendered the Premier League title to Manchester City.

The north Londoners looked on course to secure this season's English top flight after an incredible run of form and results, only to stumble in the season's last games.
