Lionel Messi does not have many friends in Paris following the Argentine’s two years with Paris Saint-Germain, where he has struggled to find his best form for the Ligue 1 champions.

Messi’s two-year spell looks set to end this summer as both PSG and the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner are not keen on renewing their deal after joining the club in 2021 from Barcelona.

“I have no words. It's completely out of place. That's how much he doesn't care about the world since he arrived. He didn't come for the right reasons; he only came for the financial conditions. In Barcelona, we know very well why he left. They could no longer pay him the way they paid him.”

Messi has scored 15 goals and has as many assists this season for PSG, but the Parisians have failed to qualify beyond the Champions League second round since his arrival.

La Liga boss wants Messi back

Meanwhile, La Liga president Javier Tebas has revealed he will be content to see Lionel Messi return to Barcelona as speculations suggest the Argentine is ready to quit PSG, Football Espana reports.

Tebas revealed Messi’s return would be complicated as he insists Barcelona will have to offload players and undergo a reduction of the club’s wage bill for them to be able to register Messi.

The possibility of Messi’s reunion with Barcelona has created a buzz among fans and football enthusiasts in Spain who hope to see him play in La Liga again.

Fans urge Messi to return to Barcelona

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Lionel Messi’s recent trip to Barcelona has got some of the club’s fans extremely excited, with some calling for the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner to return to Camp Nou.

Recently, Barcelona fans have been chanting Messi’s name in their home games as a plea for the Argentine superstar to return to the club where he spent 17 successful seasons.

Some Barcelona fans have been videoed at the airport, passionately pleading for Messi to dump Paris Saint-Germain and make his fairy-tale return to Spain.
