Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has responded to reports linking Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen to the German giants.

The Napoli striker has been strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich ahead of the summer transfer window following his outstanding performances for the Serie A league leaders.

However, Tuchel will rather prefer to concentrate on the rest of the season than talk about other players.

"I have an opinion on that - but I know how things work. If I say something about it and it spills over to Italy, then my colleague there will say: 'Why doesn't Thomas keep his mouth shut?' - I'm not going to talk about players of other clubs," he said ahead of Bayern Munich's Bundesliga game against TSG Hoffenheim.

The German champions are in the market for a striker to replace Robert Lewandowski who left last summer for Barcelona.

Although Sadio Mane was brought in from Liverpool, the Senegalese is not an out-and-out striker, leaving Eric Maxim Chupo-Moting as the club's only number 9.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich could face stern competition from English giants Manchester United who have also been linked with the Super Eagles forward.

Osimhen has been out for two weeks after returning from international duty with a knock.
