Celta Vigo deserved their victory

Meanwhile, Athletic Bilbao coach, Ernesto Valverde admits their performance wasn't good enough in the defeat to Celta Vigo and admitted his opponents were superior on Sunday, Tribal Football reports.

Aspas’s strike in the 70th minute proved decisive for Celta Vigo, who claimed maximum points to boost their chances of escaping relegation.

Athletic Bilbao had chances to score, including an Alex Berenguer volley that hit the post, but there was no way back for Valverde’s team in the contest.

Touted as possibly the last time the stars would share the same field, the game was eventually won by PSG in what was a nine-goal thriller.

Since Messi and Ronaldo shared a hug in Saudi Arabia however, keen-eyed fans noted the 2022 World Cup winner has dipped in form.
