  • Kylian Mbappe was in unstoppable form as the PSG superstar notched a brace to help France beat Denmark 2-1 at Stadium 974 on Saturday, November 26
  • His brace ensured France, defending champions, become the first country to secure a place in the round of 16 in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup
  • The Paris Saint-Germain forward has now scored an eyewatering 14 goals in France's last 12 matches

Kylian Mbappe continued his sensational start to the 2022 FIFA World Cup with a brace against Denmark in France's second group game.

Mbappe was on target as Les Bleus made lightwork of Australia in their World Cup opener and the Paris Saint-Germain forward went a step further by grabbing two goals against the Danes.

His brace was enough to ensure the defending champions become the first team to secure a place in the round of 16 with one game to spare.

@kso123_ went a step further to tag Mbappe as the best in the world:

"Best player in the world."

Another fan singing Mbappe praises believes the PSG superstar is a blend of Ronaldo and Leo Messi:

"The Real Reason This Boy Kylian Mbappe Wears Jersey No. 10 For His National Team And No.7 For This Team Is Because He's Both Leo Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo In One. What a Talent."

@congokid2433 agreed with the opinion of @kso123_:

"Best player in the world and World Cup best Kylian Mbappe."

@MaskUpLikePyro added:

"He’s just so good man."

What next for Mbappe?

Having scored three goals in two games in Qatar 2022, Mbappe will most likely sit out in France's final group game against Tunisia on Wednesday, November 30.

Mbappe double sinks Denmark

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kylian Mbappe scored twice, including a late winner, as holders France edged Denmark 2-1 on Saturday to become the first team to reach the last 16 of the World Cup.

A potent French side knew a second victory in as many Group D outings would take them through to the knockout phase and they were well worth the lead that Mbappe gave them when he opened the scoring at Stadium 974 just after the hour mark.

However, Andreas Christensen soon equalised for the Danes and Les Bleus needed Mbappe to deliver again in the 86th minute as he turned in Antoine Griezmann's cross to puncture the Danish resistance once and for all.
