  • Chelsea remain one of the best teams in Europe, but they are currently 8th on the Premier League table
  • The Blues failed to win any of their last five league games before the World Cup break, which has raised concerns
  • Comedian 'Asiri' headed straight to Stamford Bridge to pray for the club to return to winning ways

A staunch Chelsea fan from Nigeria, Damilare Oluwasegun, popularly known as 'Asiri Comedy', has stormed Stamford Bridge to pray for Chelsea Football Club.

Asiri, who is holidaying in the UK, took time out to visit the home ground of the Blues as he had a tour of the entire facility.

He has been a fan of the London club for several years and has been boastful about the club's achievements in the last two decades.

The Nigerian comedian was seen at several sections of Stamford Bridge as he could be heard praying for the team to be successful.

He shared a clip of the 'exercise' on his social media handles with the caption:

"I went to Stamford Bridge, and I did it the CAC way."
"I had to do this for Chelsea fans home and abroad. I went to sanctify our stadium today at Stamford Bridge. No more loss. No more defeat. Chelsea fans say Amen."

Chelsea fans want Graham Potter sacked

Meanwhile, a section of Chelsea fans has called on the club to sack Graham Potter as the manager following their latest defeat against Newcastle.

Despite their earlier bright start under Potter, the Blues have hit a rough patch recently, with the side losing four of their last five fixtures.

Having been bundled out of the Carabao Cup mid-week by Manchester City, the west Londoners were expected to return to winning ways during their Premier League trip to St. James Park.

However, Potter's charges went on to stage a dismal performance as they were humbled 1-0 by the Magpies, leaving club supporters fuming.

Edouard Mendy set for Chelsea exit

Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea shot-stopper Edouard Mendy could be set for a Stamford Bridge exit earlier than expected, according to stunning new reports.

Mendy, who has proven to be worth his £22 million transfer fee, is reportedly considering his future with the Blues after seemingly losing his No.1 position at the club.

Since the sacking of Thomas Tuchel, Mendy has been devoid of playing time at Chelsea, with new manager Graham Potter preferring Kepa Arrizabalaga between the sticks.
