Arsenal star Ben White attempted to pull a dark art on Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario during a corner kick when the score was still 0-0.

The Gunners finished the first half with a comfortable 3-0 lead thanks to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's own goal, followed by Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz's strikes.

Spurs would feel cheated after having a goal disallowed, a penalty appeal waved off and hit the bar, all in the first half, and after every decisive point, their opponents score.

White takes aim at Vicario

As seen in footage circulating on social media, in the 14th minute of the match, White was spotted trying to loosen Vicario's gloves during a corner kick.

The move was hailed by Gunners as a smart move and dark art. Had it been successful, it would have loosened the goalkeeper's grip on the ball, causing him to misparry the ball.

The Italian shot-stopper quickly noticed the move and flung his arm to wade off the England international defender.

The two clashed again during another corner, with White using his back to shove the goalkeeper before Kai Havertz headed home, but it was not deemed a foul.

Raya gifts Tottenham a goal

Per Squawka, David Raya was on course to join Edwin van der Sar as the second goalkeeper to keep seven consecutive away clean sheets but ruined it himself.

The Spanish goalie kicked straight at Cuti Romero, who was high up the pitch, and the Argentina defender made no mistake, slotting it home to give his team a lifeline.

Why Van de Ven's goal was disallowed

Sports Brief reported why Micky Van de Ven's goal was disallowed despite the defender getting played through by Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.

Even though the Dutch was in an offside position, the rule states that if an opponent deliberately played on him, he has gained no advantage, and the goal should stand.
