Head coach of the Super Eagles Jose Peseiro is not available for this game as his assistant Salisu Yusuf has been given the responsibility of making Nigerians proud in this game.

What are they playing for?

But the three-time African champions want to use their coming two international friendlies to prepare for the AFCON qualifying game against Serie Leone.

According to the photos and video Super Eagles posted on their Twitter page, the players can be seen in good mood ahead of the encounter.

Speaking to Sports Brief ahead of the game, Kwara United midfielder, Afeez Nasiru, explained that he and other teammates in camp are ready for the game against Costa Rica.

Afeez Nasiru's statement

''We are already aware that the match will not be an easy tie because Costa Rica will be playing in the World Cup, but we are going to show them that we are strong.''

Osimhen emerges as world record transfer target

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Real Madrid reportedly joined the race to sign Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, as those in charge of Los Blancos are impressed with his performances.

Osimhen is currently in the best form of his career, as the Nigerian keeps on getting the goals for Napoli this season and they are also topping the Serie A table.

Despite Osimhen's brilliance for Napoli so far this season, the future of the Nigerian is still a subject of speculation, with clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal also said to be interested.

In 22 games in all competitions this term for Napoli, Osimhen has netted 11 goals for the Serie A leaders and created four assists.
