Asamoah Gyan has joined the conversation online, following the omission of three players from the Black Stars team ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The 36-year-old, who will miss the World Cup, has been monitoring events with regards to the senior national team.

According to GHANASoccernet, Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashimeru and Felix Afena-Gyan have all been dropped by coach Otto Addo ahead of the announcement of his final squad.

Gyan posted on Twitter an image of a passenger to suggest he is watching.

Paintsil has been one of Ghana's best players in Europe and news of his omission has left many fans of the Black Stars shocked.

Ashimeru, who in the past made the news for his absence after Gyan questioned his omission, has once again not been included in the squad. Afena-Gyan misses the team for the first time since his debut against Nigeria in March.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Legendary Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan has dropped a new song for the Black Stars, ahead of the World Cup in Qatar.

The 36-year-old, who is likely to miss the World Cup due to his inactivity in the sport since 2021, collaborated with Ghanaian artist Kiaani to compose a song for the team.

Gyan released a snippet of the song on social media, as he urged the Black Stars team to 'turn up' in Qatar.

Asamoah Gyan blasts hypocritical fans

Asamoah Gyan has described fans who hide behind social media to critique and insult him as hypocrites.

The legendary Ghanaian footballer vented his frustrations at supporters for 'coming at him' on various apps, and then pretending to like him when they see him in person.

Gyan received huge backlash during his time with the Black Stars, despite his prolific goal scoring form for the national team.
