Nigerian international Asisat Oshoala has been named among female football stars who featured in a documentary titled ‘Icons’ on FIFA+.

Complete Sports reports that FIFA+ is a digital platform launched by the world’s football governing body in a bid to link fans across the world to football-related content.

The platform is expected to stream live matches, interactive games, video content, storytelling, news and information across the men and women's game.

Nigeria’s Oshoala was featured on the platform in a documentary called ‘Icons’ chronicling the lives and careers of five female footballers including Wendie Renard (France), Lucy Bronze (England), Carli Lloyd (Usa), Sam Kerr (Australia).

In the one minute trailer, the aforementioned players narrated their various forays into football.

Oshoala has scored 19 goals in 16 Laliga games this season.

Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala has won yet another major trophy in Spain as the Super Falcons captain emerged Spanish Primera Femenina Champions with Barcelona.

The Super Falcons striker has scored 19 goals for Barcelona in the 2021-22 season and is the Spanish Primera Division, top scorer.

Barcelona's dominance continues in Spain Meanwhile, Barcelona continued its dominance in the Spanish women's league after being crowned Champions for the third straight season.

Oshoala reacts after being stripped of Super Falcons captaincy

Sports Brief earlier reported that Asisat Oshoala has revealed she was not informed by the Nigerian Football Federation about her being dropped as captain of the Super Falcons.

The Barcelona Femini star was named captain of Nigeria's most successful football team after replacing Desire Oparanozie in September 2019 following a disagreement with the NFF.

Oshoala took to social media app, Twitter to disclose she had no idea about the decision taken by the Football Federation after a fan had twitted about her removal.
