Tyson, who has a record of 50 wins and six losses, had his last professional fight in 2005 when he lost to Kevin McBride, BoxRec reported.

Now 57, Iron Mike will step into the ring once more when he fights Paul, who is no stranger to calling out the big guns of boxing. The fight will be streamed on Netflix and emanate from the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

Paul wants to prove himself

A relative newcomer to the professional boxing scene, Paul is out to prove that he is not just some gimmick fighter looking for quick money.

The Problem Child wants to be a world champion in the sport and believes that a fight against Iron Mike will be a chance to prove himself to everyone, The Guardian noted.

“My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion ever, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time,” Paul said.

While the younger Paul brother is excited at the prospect of facing Tyson, fans are excited for another reason.

Many took to social media to comment on the surprise fight, asking Iron Mike to teach the brash youngster a lesson.

@TalentedmrRicke:

“Please bite his ear off.”

@MalachiFyrestar:

“Don't go easy on him, champ. Anything less than a KO is a loss for you.”

@Fuggenl:

“If Mike doesn’t pull his punches, he will literally kill that muppet…does he realize WHO Mike Tyson actually is? Despite the 30-year difference, he is getting into the ring with MIKE TYSON. He is dead!”

@xqevolve:

“I wouldn't fight Mike Tyson even if he looked like Joe Biden.”
