The celebrated defender was among the celebrities who trooped to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for what was billed as the 'Battle of the Baddest'.

Heavyweight champion, Fury won the controversial split decision over 10 rounds to beat his competitor, a former UFC Heavyweight champion.

The new video shows Ferdinand struggling to get out of Edwards' grasp while on the ground. After a few seconds, the MMA fighter decided to let the ex-footballer go before they laughed over their 'duel.'

Here is the video of that incident:

Leon Edwards' plans

Edwards is currently in Birmingham preparing for his showdown against Colby Covington in the UFC 296 main event in Los Angeles on December 16. CBS Sports reports the Englishman has been unbeaten since 2015, when he lost to Usman Kamaru and will be seeking to defend his title against Covington for the second time.

Edwards has already indicated plans to move to the middleweight next year - with the title currently held by Sean Strickland. The American will face Dricus du Plessis in January next year, with Edwards looking towards a potential clash against the winner in the UFC 300 in his bid to become a double champion in the promotion.

Aspinall joins Edwards in exclusive list

Tom Aspinall made history on Saturday, November 12, becoming just the third British fighter to capture a UFC title.

He did it in style, beating Sergei Pavlovich by knockout in the first round to claim the interim heavyweight title.

Sports Brief looks at the members of this exclusive British list after Aspinall's big win at Madison Square Garden.
