How good is Canan Moodie? The Paarl native attended the Boland Landbou School, where he played for the rugby team as a centre. He was an average player and rarely made it to the senior squad. The winger failed to play the school in his final year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The winger joined the Junior Springboks for the International Series in Stellenbosch in 2021. His senior team debut came in August 2022 against Australia in the Rugby Championship in Sydney, where he scored a try.
