Betting on Argentina (+8.5)

The Pumas will look to match their best-ever finish in a World Cup when they take on England in this year's bronze final.

They finished third in the 2007 Rugby World Cup after beating France 34-10.

For Argentina to accomplish that feat, they will need to produce a much better performance compared to the one they dished out against New Zealand in the semi-finals.

The Pumas had no answer for the All Blacks' attack in that matchup, allowing seven tries in the 44-6 loss, per The Guardian.

Will Jordan punished Argentina's defence, scoring an impressive hat-trick for New Zealand. The Pumas were limited to two penalties from Emiliano Boffelli in this contest.

Argentina faced England in the pool stage, with the Pumas absorbing a 27-10 loss in their opening match of the tournament. Rodrigo Bruni scored the game's only try in the 79th minute.

They did beat England in the Autumn International last year, recording a 30-29 win at Twickenham last November.

Betting on England (-8.5)

England only has six days to prepare for the bronze final after suffering a gut-wrenching 16-15 loss against South Africa in the semis.

They built a 15-6 lead in the second half following an incredible drop goal from Owen Farrell in the 53rd minute.

They couldn't hold on to that advantage, though, with South Africa scoring 10 unanswered points in the final 10 minutes of the match.

RG Snyman gave the Springboks life, scoring the match's only try in the 70th minute to cut England's lead to four points. Handre Pollard trimmed the deficit to 15-13 with the ensuing conversion, setting up a thrilling climax.

English fans' worst nightmare happened in the 78th minute when Pollard made a clutch penalty from 50 metres out to give South Africa the lead for good.

They will now shift their attention to the match against Argentina. George Ford starred for England the last time they faced the Pumas in the pool stage, kicking all of their points in the 27-10 win, per the BBC.

What made that victory even more impressive for England was that they pulled it off despite playing with just 14 men.

Tom Curry was sent off after clashing heads with Juan Cruz Mallia in the third minute in Marseille.
